Long Weekend at Birkdale House

Thank you for a fabulous long weekend stay at Birkdale House in Windermere. Perfect location for a group of friends to catch up and luxuriate in the beautiful spacious home and the idyllic rural surroundings. Difficult to believe we were so close to all the amenities and hub hub of Bowness on Windermere because it was so peaceful and quiet other than bird song and trees rustling. No need for the car – from the house we could walk onto the Dales way – up to School Knott Tarn for a swim (well some of our party) – and also the tremendous views from Brantfell nearby.

The house is terrific – careful thought and attention to has been given to every aesthetic and practical detail. Loved it. Sad to leave – must revisit.
