Birkdale House Wine List for Your HolidayBACK
30th April 2021
When you stay at Birkdale House we want everything to be perfect. This is your holiday, a chance to relax and spend time with loved ones. If there’s anything we can do to make it even better, we will. Which is why we’ve even taken the stress out of choosing the wine with our Birkdale House wine list.
With our very own premises licence, we can stock Birkdale House with your favourite wines, beers, ciders and spirits. They’ll be waiting for you in the wine cellar when you arrive. No last-minute shopping required. In fact, if you opt for one of our private dining options as well, the first evening in Birkdale House completely stress-free.
Red, white, rosé or sparkling?
We have been working with Bowland Forest Vintners for a few years. With well over 400 wines from which to choose, from all over the world, there is something for every palate.
Below are a few of our favourites, but for the full Birkdale House Wine List, please click here.
Tallero Prosecco di Treviso – £15.00
Lovely soft bubbles, aromas of apples and tangerines – is there a better way to get everyone into the celebratory mood?
Salmon Run Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough NZ – £14.00
Wonderfully fresh and powerful on the nose, this is an intense wine with bags of zesty gooseberry, passion fruit and citrus fruit.
Chateau Pesquie ‘Terrasses’ Ventoux 2017, Rhone Valley – £15.50
From the slopes of Mont Ventoux comes this wonderful rosé. With a charming peachy orange colour and with aromas of summer fruits, it is pure elegance in a glass. It is ideal as an aperitif and goes amazingly well with many foods.
Montsable Pinot Noir 2018, Languedoc – £15.00
Pinot Noir is very much like Burgundy in style, with summer fruit characteristics balancing savoury undertones. Perfect with duck or pork.
Beer, Cider and Spirits
If it’s beer, cider or spirits you’re after, just let us know. There are some wonderful producers here in the Lake District, producing everything from pure craft cider to toffee vodka, fancy gins to bold, innovative beers.
Whatever it is you’re after, we’re pretty sure the Lake District has a solution.
